Alex is an experienced cross-platform producer of live and pre-recorded radio broadcasts, podcasts and digital content.
Alex's post-graduate training, in percussion and radio production, meant one moment he was whacking drums and the next tip-toeing round concert halls putting up microphones. The microphone side won through and he was soon working on outside broadcasts around the UK for BBC Radio 3. He went on to produce a string of flagship programmes for the station, logging hundreds of hours of live studio time, before helping devise and lead the weekly production of the morning show, Essential Classics.
Alex also has substantial experience in social media strategy and digital production for the BBC and beyond. He has managed a wide range of digital campaigns creating podcasts, videos, graphics and animations for clients such as ABRSM and Penguin Random House. In 2015 Alex developed and launched the award-winning Penguin Podcast which, within months, reached No.1 in the iTunes literature chart.
When he isn’t producing things he likes nothing more than escaping into the great outdoors where he can usually be found on one of his bikes.
